I believe in transparency when it comes to the cost of mediation. Below you will find a breakdown of my current rates and fees for various stages of the mediation process, designed to keep services accessible and predictable.
Free Initial Consultation
20–30 minutes | No charge
A short discovery call to discuss your situation, determine if mediation is the right fit, and answer any process questions you may have before moving forward.
Pre-Mediation Meetings
$210 per hour
Before mediation begins, I meet privately with each participant.

These individual meetings provide an opportunity to understand the situation from each person’s perspective, identify the issues that need to be addressed, discuss what each participant hopes to accomplish, and prepare for a productive mediation process.

Pre-mediation meetings are billed at the regular hourly rate.
Mediation
$210 per hour
Mediation and related professional services are billed at $210 per hour.
​
Fees are generally shared equally between participants unless another arrangement is agreed upon.
​
Billable professional time may include:

Mediation sessions

Preparation and document review

Substantive phone calls and correspondence

Communication with participants, counsel or other professionals when required

Preparation of summaries, agreements or other mediation-related documents
Retainer (Mediation Fees)
Once we have completed the pre-mediation process and agreed to proceed, an initial retainer is collected before mediation begins.

3-hour retainer: $630 (half day). For two participants sharing costs equally, this is $315 per participant.
​
6-hour retainer: $1260 (full day). For two participants sharing costs equally, this is $630 per participant.
​
The retainer is not an additional fee. It is applied toward professional time billed at the regular rate of $210 per hour.

If additional time is required, the retainer may be replenished in further blocks. More complex matters may begin with a larger retainer based on the anticipated amount of work.
​
Any unused portion of the retainer is returned at the conclusion of the mediation process.
What Will My Mediation Cost?
Every conflict is different, so it is difficult to predict the total cost before understanding the situation.

The amount of time required can depend on the number and complexity of the issues, the number of participants, preparation required, and whether additional documentation or follow-up is needed.
